Job Summary
Involved in financial planning, budget preparation, analyzing of financial statements and reports, performing research
and analysis as may be required. Also assist in the month end close process, preparing financial reports, performing
accounts reconciliation, maintaining the general ledger, assisting with audit preparations and other accounting duties
as assigned.
Qualifications
Requirements :
- Experience analyzing current and past financial data and performance.
- General Ledger (GL) accounting experience.
- Experience preparing Journal entries (JEs).
- Month end close experience including : Accounts reconciliation resolving account discrepancies. Variance / fluctuation analysis experience analyzing financial reports.
- Minimum of 3 years performing said above duties in a senior role.
- Degree in accounting (either Bachelors or Masters).
- Proficiency in excel
- Extremely strong analytical, problem-solving skills.
- Ability to explain complex financial reports.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communications skills.
State / Federal Mandated Licensure or Certification Requirements :
None
Bristol Hospital Mandated Educational Requirements :
General orientation at time of hire. Fire / Safety / Infection Control annually. Other programs as mandated by Hospital.
Special Requirements :
- Proficient in P.C. applications and spreadsheet development and analysis.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Project and time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and within short time constraints in a complex system and business environment.
Physical Requirements :
Extended sitting, together with occasional bending, reaching and stooping.
Work Environment :
Normal office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation.
