The Blain Group is a privately-owned commercial property owner with two award winning multi-story buildings in Livonia, Michigan as well as five single-story buildings throughout Southeast Michigan.
We have a need for a full-time Building Maintenance Technician. This position has a 40 hour work week, and salary is commensurate with experience.
The candidate should be experienced, dependable, and hard working.
Responsibilities :
- Office build-outs (demo, wall construction, drywall, ceiling tiles, painting, etc )
- Maintain HVAC and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
- Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, repair furniture, etc )
- Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and ballasts)
- Respond to tenant reports of mechanical or maintenance issues as directed by Property Manager
- Work with tools and supplies necessary to complete projects
- Maintain corporate safety procedures

Requirements :
- High school diploma / GED required
- Proven experience as building maintenance technician
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
- Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime as needed
- Must have the ability to climb heights, lift up to 60lbs. and climb onto ladders
Job Type : Full-time
Pay : $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
