Description :

The IS Manager (ISM) for Governance and Privacy is an experienced, innovative, and passionate data leader who will play a critical role in developing and maturing data governance policies and procedures for the organization.

This individual will also manage the Privacy & Protection team which partners with the Global Data Privacy Office and Information Security Team to implement numerous data privacy initiatives across the organization.

  • Leads and manages a high-performing agile team that is responsible for developing and maturing organization-wide data privacy, compliance, and governance policies and processes with a focus on user adoption, sustainability, and effectiveness of the program on strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborates with business leaders, process and data owners, data stewards and other key stakeholders to support the development and implementation of policies, standards, and the framework for data governance and privacy.
  • Collaborates with the Global Data Privacy Office and Information Security Team to classify and establish processes related to Enterprise Data Privacy Policies (, GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
  • Oversees the design and development of enterprise-wide metrics to measure the effectiveness of the data governance program.

Ensures that metrics include appropriate benchmarks to legal, regulatory, and industry standards.

  • Prepares technical delivery cost & timeline estimates to ensure key roadmap initiatives are delivered on time and on budget.
  • Assists the Delivery Manager in the execution and refinement of the overall Data Management strategy, mission, and vision with respect to data privacy and governance.
  • Stays up to date on data management best practices, trainings, and certifications.
  • Acts as Coach-Leader-Mentor to guide team members throughout their professional development.
  • Ensures that the cross-functional team is performing efficiently, effectively and delivering according to the strategic roadmap.
  • Fosters the team maturity by identifying and remediating skills and resource gaps required for future work.
  • Contributes to the development of product / service and / or departmental budgets and actively manages budget to plan.
  • Shares fiscal responsibility for the organization's technology investments and future planning of the organization's spend.
  • Bachelor's degree, ideally in Business or Information Systems; or has appropriate combination of education and / or work experience relevant to required skills and responsibilities.
  • 3+ years of management / leadership experience in an IT organization.
  • Experience in any of the following disciplines / technologies and their practical application to business products and processes : data governance and stewardship (, Informatica Axon or equivalent), data privacy (, OneTrust or equivalent), metadata management solutions (, Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog or equivalent), etc.
  • Demonstrates leadership and ability to partner with key business stakeholders.
  • Experience managing large teams, working in an onshore / offshore collaborative environment.
  • Experience with agile (, SAFe, Scrum, Kanban) methodologies.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building.
  • Proven ability to lead technology efforts or implement services and ensure objectives, goals, and commitments are met.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong technical project management and / or leadership skills including the ability to plan, organize, and steer activities with competing demands.
  • Ability to advise senior management in strategic decisions from business use case prioritization to tool / software selection.
