Our client is looking for a forward-looking, proactive, and collaborative Student Interm Office of the EEO and President and Chair residing in Washington DC for an onsite position.
REQUIREMENT :
A full-time student enrolled in an HBCU, PBI, or MI, have at least a 3.0 GPA, be a U.S. Citizen, and be willing to work in-person onsite in D.C.
POSITION SUMMARY :
This position is located in the Office of the President and Chair in the Export-Import Bank (EXIM) and serves in the capacity of a student trainee.
Performs duties under the supervision of a higher-graded employee who gives instructions as to the objectives and results to be obtained and is available for guidance as to methods and procedures to be followed during the progress of the assignment.
The incumbent receives tailored instruction, guidance, training, and supervision designed to provide the knowledge and skills necessary for the successful performance of their duties.
The incumbent will receive on-the-job training that is intended to enhance the individual's technical competencies. Work assignments are made commensurate with the college curriculum.

- Attends training classes and activities as directed. Supports senior personnel in conducting special projects.
- Studies EXIM requirements for administrative tasks and researches the current body of precedents and technical knowledge.
- Receives specific information and explanations on projects, e.g., specifications and steps, and thoroughly complete the project.
- Performs project management of the tasks delegated by senior personnel while providing updates on the project status to the senior personnel.
- Analyzes information or data gleaned from project results, documents project findings and prepare detailed clerical / administrative work.
- Working under the guidance of and in close association with senior personnel, performs a variety of work assignments consisting of established, specific, and related tasks that have been selected to orient the employee in the practical application of principles, concepts, and techniques of the occupational field.
Assignments are selected based on their progressive training value for the individual. Attends training classes and activities as directed.
- Assists in planning, monitoring, and conducting special studies, projects, and initiatives.
- Assists senior personnel in determining the validity, feasibility, achievability, and efficiency of special studies, projects, and initiatives and participates in planning the studies, projects, and initiatives.
- Attends meetings to observe interactions and understand working relationships with customers, specialists, and organizational points of contact and disseminates information to appropriate staff or points of contact.
- Assists in collecting and analyzing information while properly archiving findings and reports.
- Participates in evaluating project results and provides recommendations for improvement in study and project procedures.
- Searches technical literature, reports, and other reference material to locate the information requested by senior personnel.
- Assists with the planning, scheduling, communicating, and organizing of events, meetings, and interactions with various senior personnel, including members of Congress, high-level executives of private sector organizations, public and private partnership representatives, and other stakeholders.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED :
These are some of the required skills and experiences you'll need for success in this role :
- General knowledge of EXIM's programs, operations, rules, and processes. Knowledge of loan examining and / or servicing principles, theories, methods, and techniques as they apply to the investigation, analysis, and evaluation of financial factors and credit risks.
- Knowledge of methods, techniques, guidelines, regulations, precedents, and procedures of management and program analysis to perform basic tasks.
- Ability to gather information, recommend correcting simple problems, extract data from prescribed sources, and prepare reports on program and management issues / findings.
- Knowledge of professional and / or management theories, concepts, and principles gained in acquiring a bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent knowledge obtained through work experience to allow the incumbent to perform in an entry-level student trainee capacity.
- Knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formats.
- Skill in using available office automation equipment and software to prepare documents.
Minimum GPA : 3.0
Must be enrolled as a full-time student at an HBCU, College, or University.
