Cashier

Carolina's Mexican Food , a family tradition since 1967 & home of the BEST tortillas in the Phoenix area, is currently searching for friendly, enthusiastic, customer-oriented individuals to fill CASHIER roles in our valley-wide locations.

In this role, you are the first point of contact with our customers and will be expected to greet and assist our customers through the ordering process.

Full-time and part-time positions are available! All positions have the opportunity for advancement and certification increases (the more you learn at Carolina's, the more you earn!)

This position requires excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, a sizzling personality, and a desire to deliver outstanding world-class service to our customers.

The ideal candidate has customer service experience; however no experience is necessary. Also, additional responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to, processing customer orders, cleaning public spaces, and packaging orders.

General Responsibilities :

• Welcome customers and help determine their orders.
• Process customer orders and record them in the restaurant database.
• Relay customers' orders to the kitchen staff.
• Ensure all orders are delivered to the customers in a timely manner.
• Accept cash and return the correct change.
• Tally money in the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each work shift.
• Place food orders in the appropriate bags and boxes.
• Respond to customer inquiries, issue receipts, and record customer suggestions.
• Clean and arrange eating, service, and kitchen spaces.
• Help kitchen staff when needed.

General Requirements :

• Proven experience in a customer service role is a plus.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Good mental mathematical skills.
