Substitute Teacher – San Antonio, TX

Compensation

$90–$120 per day

(Pay is based on your education level and / or Texas teaching certification)

What You’ll Do

Lead classrooms by following detailed lesson plans prepared by the teacher

Create a positive, engaging, and structured learning environment

Encourage participation and maintain a respectful, focused classroom atmosphere

Supervise students throughout the day — during instruction, transitions, lunch, and recess

Assign and review classwork aligned with daily objectives

Record attendance and communicate updates or concerns to school staff

Collaborate with teachers and administrators to support academic and behavioral goals

For long-term roles : plan and deliver lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum

Schedule

Monday–Friday availability required

Full Day : 7 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM

Half Day : 7 : 00 AM – 12 : 00 PM or 12 : 00 PM – 5 : 00 PM

Qualifications

Minimum of 60 college credit hours or an Associate Degree (required)

Bachelor’s Degree or Texas Teaching Certification (preferred)

At least 1 year of experience in a classroom or childcare setting

Strong communication, leadership, and classroom management skills

Reliable transportation and consistent punctuality
