Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies to deliver exceptional customer service, drive profitability, and meet performance goals across revenue, budget, and partner obligations.
- Foster a positive work environment by leading and developing terminal staff through goal setting, performance management, coaching, and support.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient LTL operation in a fast-paced setting.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements by promoting accountability and supporting HR and safety initiatives.
- Oversee terminal operations, analyze performance data, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and operations excellence
- Responsible for hiring all terminal personnel and overseeing the 90 day on boarding process
- Must have the ability to work different shifts dependent on the needs of the operation.
- Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and other regulatory agencies.
- Ability to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned
Other Duties
Support other terminals or departments during peak periods or special projects.Participate in conferences and training programs.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred but not required.3-5 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or freight operationsAt least 3 years of supervisory or management experience in a terminal or warehouse settingStrong leadership and team-building skillsFormer experience as a Terminal Manager is a plusFluent command in the English language is required to effectively communicate with internal and external customersMust possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skillsProven ability to manage operations in a fast-paced environmentMust be able to handle customer demands in positive and professional manner at all times while maintaining a positive attitude.Experience in Operations Management, internal or external, is requiredMust be competent and proficient in Microsoft Office Software productsProblem solving and analytical skillsKnowledge of DOT regulations, OSHA standards, and other relevant compliance requirementsAbility to make decisions under pressure and manage conflict effectivelyHigh level of integrity and accountabilityAdaptability to changing operational needs and schedulesTravel is required
