Job Summary and Qualifications

At Henrico Doctors’ Hospital, our Wound Healing Center Nurses conduct a thorough wound assessment, including wound measurements, wound cultures, transcutaneous oxygen measurements and photography.

While conducting a thorough patient history and medication review, you will also educate the patient, family and hospital staff in regards to the Wound Healing Center and appropriate tests and procedures.

• You will facilitate outpatient and inpatient care in relationship to wound healing by communicating with physicians, staff nurses, physical therapy, diabetes care, nutritional support and other ancillary departments as needed
• As an Wound Care RN, you will document care, education, physician orders and communications per hospital and Wound Healing Center policies and procedure
• Maintaining accurate departmental records as related to educational programs is a daily requirement

REQUIREMENTS

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
• Current Registered Nurse license in Virginia or a compact license
• Current BLS and CPR certification
• At least one year medical / surgical experience
