POSITION
Senior sales role focused on growing Allspring's presence and market share at the largest and most complex intermediary / wealth management organizations through engagement with their manager research and / or discretionary portfolio management teams "professional buyers".
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Primary responsibility is identifying and driving new recommendations, discretionary model placement and sub-advisory mandates.
- Maintain existing recommendations, placements, and mandates.
- Utilize experience, relationship skills and industry knowledge to establish a high degree of credibility with clients.
- Identify and influence decision makers at the highest level of manager research and discretionary portfolio management teams.
This includes the creativity and forethought necessary to help create searches and mandates in anticipation of future opportunities.
- Effectively represent Allspring's investment solutions including how they are differentiated relative to competitors.
- Sharing industry developments and client feedback to Allspring's portfolio managers and senior leadership.
- Sharing industry knowledge with colleagues across Allspring.
- Deliver and help advance Allspring and the Platform Team's thought leadership.
- Training and mentoring less experienced members of the team and organization.
- Partnering with key accounts to develop the strategy at each client firms' home office.
CANDIDATE
Ideal candidate will blend investment acumen, industry knowledge, relationship skills, a high engagement sales approach and a strong desire to help client's make informed decisions.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following : asset management sales, manager research, discretionary portfolio management using 3rd party product solutions.
- Extensive knowledge of the asset management industry, trends as well as a broad range of complex investment products.

- BA / BS
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Existing professional buyer contacts in the intermediary market.
- In depth knowledge of the various business models in the intermediary market (b / d, private bank, annuity providers, TAMPs)
- Strong understanding of how professional buyers make decisions.
- Possess a strong knowledge of product structures (Mutual Funds, Managed Accounts, ETFs)
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels; where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important.
- Experience driving for results, applying a sense of urgency, and bringing issues to closure in a decisive manner in face of obstacles and opposition.
- Excellent analytical skills including; synthesizing, organizing and evaluating data in support of core business analytics / special requests.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills
- Effective organizational, multi tasking, and prioritizing skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment.
Familiar with Allspring Product offerings
- An active Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation or candidacy for the Level 2 or 3 CFA exam
- MBA or other advanced degrees related to finance or economics.
