We are offering a unique opportunity for an Electrical Systems, Fabrication Design Engineer to join our client’s team. This direct hire, full-time position is focused on precision design and modeling of complex electrical systems for cutting-edge building projects in the real estate industry.
Role Overview :
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems, Fabrication Design Engineer with a strong background in designing and modeling electrical systems for modular and prefabricated construction projects.
The ideal candidate will have experience in architectural engineering or construction, with expertise in advanced 3D modeling software like Revit or CATIA.
This role offers the chance to work on innovative projects that push the boundaries of conventional building design.
Key Responsibilities :
Design and Model Electrical Systems : Create intricate electrical designs, including wiring, devices, lighting, and panel boards, to a fabrication level of detail using advanced 3D modeling software.
Collaboration : Work with a diverse team of architects, manufacturing engineers, and industrial designers to ensure seamless integration of electrical components in modular building projects.
Documentation : Produce detailed shop drawings, comprehensive bill of materials, and work instructions for assembly, including coordination with suppliers and internal teams.
Innovation and Improvement : Apply experience from adjacent industries to innovate and enhance existing electrical solutions, keeping up with industry trends, new materials, and code changes.
Project Coordination : Ensure electrical system components are accurately integrated into products, maintaining high standards of productivity and quality throughout the project lifecycle.
Problem Solving : Address and resolve technical challenges related to modular construction, particularly in the interface with conventional construction methods.
Required Qualifications :
A bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering or a related field.
7+ years of experience in electrical systems design.
7+ years of experience in Revit, CATIA, or similar 3D modeling software.
1+ years of experience in architectural engineering or construction, particularly in mid to high-rise multi-family projects or large-scale facilities.
Preferred & Other Qualifications :
Modular construction or prefabrication experience is highly valued.
Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Familiarity with building codes and regulations, with a persistent focus on compliance.
Experience in subcontractor roles specializing in building component coordination and detailing.
Salary and Benefits :
Competitive salary range of $110,000 - $150,000 per year, based on experience.
