Compensation Consultant
Overview :
This is a remote role that may only be hired in the following locations : NC, MN
This position supports the design, implementation, and management of compensation programs for the Human Resources (HR) department of the Bank.
Responsible for daily administration of the department's systems and support for other compensation structures. Determines business needs and facilitates incentive planning.
Collaborates with business leadership and HR partners to ensure compensation efforts are competitive, effective, and compliant with industry regulations.
Responsibilities :
Compensation Planning - Designs compensation structures in collaboration with business leaders and HR partners. Analyzes internal and external data to create appropriate compensation plans, utilizing compensation tools, financial reports, and outside market data as needed.
Program Management - Collaborates with business leaders and associates on the design and implementation of compensation programs.
Directs program delivery and communication with associates and senior business leaders. Executes core compensation programs, which may include the annual merit process and other base pay programs.
Ensures compliance of FLSA reviews, audits, and incentive pay regulations.
System Support - May have responsibility for daily support and administration of one or more of the department's compensation support systems.
Works closely with the internal HR technology team to improve data processing capabilities. Assists in the evolution of compensation programs, policies, and processes with a focus on continuous improvement and efficiency.
Change Management - Participates in compensation projects associated with the expansion into new markets, mergers and acquisitions, integration, and divestiture activities.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Compensation or Sales Incentives OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Compensation or Sales Incentives
Preferred License or Certification Type : Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)
Preferred Skills : Knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures in HR and in Compensation, Understanding of design and analysis of variable pay programs, including incentive, commission and bonus plans
Preferred education : Advanced degree in Human Resources or Business
Preferred experience : 10+ years of experience in a compensation role within a Large Financial Institution
