The Impact You Will Have :

You will be empowered to pursue emerging technologies and technical strategies that will help establish the technical vision for the future scale of QTS.

With a strong emphasis on building controls and monitoring, this position will be responsible for collaborating with senior leadership and operations to understand strategic goals.

They will then develop solutions and lead a team to meet these goals - improving capabilities, reliability and efficiency through technology.

What You Will Do :

Collaborate with VP and Department Leadership in defining and understanding the business requirements tied to imperative business strategic goals

Identify new technologies and automated systems that will deliver efficiency of scale and improved uptime to the business.

Develop business case / justification around potential opportunities for review with leadership

Partner with the operations team to determine feasibility of solutions and impact of design.

Develop automation requirements for PLC / SCADA / controls hardware and software automation solutions for state-of-the-art capital projects.

Develop and implement integrated solutions.

Support delivery teams during implementation, ensuring the technical success of the products.

Serve as a subject matter expert in advising the product team on industry use cases, ideation, and feature implementation.

Lead a team of engineers to drive the adoption of AI / ML-based process optimization applications.

Lead team to research, design, test, and evaluate new technologies via agile delivery

What You Will Need to be Successful :

Bachelor’s in Science or equivalent professional experience

Ten or more years of experience designing and delivering large scale distributed systems

Ten or more years of experience with development, integration and project management of automated manufacturing and / or process control systems including PLC’s, HMI’s, SCADA, Historians, motion control, robotics, machine vision, MES and OEE systems software.

Strong understanding of infrastructure and related technologies (compute, storage, networking, PLC, Electrical / Mechanical infrastructure).

Current experience applying new and emerging technologies such as AI, Machine Learning, etc.

Experience with Design Thinking stages

US Citizenship for this position is required by law due to federal customer contracts
