As a Security Officer with Allied Universal assigned to a prominent government location, you will play a key role in access control and security-related patrols. Your responsibilities include monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols to help to deter unauthorized access and incidents. You will be a visible presence, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication to all visitors and personnel. Position Type : Part Time

Pay Rate : $17.25 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTimeMon 05 : 00 AM - 12 : 00 PMFri 12 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 PMSat 05 : 30 AM - 01 : 30 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain order within the premises.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter potential issues and identify any irregularities.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by site policies.
  • Assist visitors and personnel with directions, information, and security-related inquiries while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to support a secure environment.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration is required.
  • A Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
