A startup is looking for an Accounting & Finance Director to join their team in this newly created position. Reporting to the CEO, the Accounting & Finance Director will be responsible for both accounting and finance where you would lead the day-to-day general ledger, budgeting, and forecasting.

To be successful in this role, the Accounting & Finance Director must be hands on, be willing to get in the weeds, and have a driven personality.

What do you need for this Accounting & Finance Director role?

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 8+ years of accounting and finance experience
• Must have inventory experience
• CPA and MBA a plus but not required
• System implementation experience a plus What will you do in this Accounting & Finance Director role?
• Oversee AP and AR
• Create invoices and automate this process
• Ensure payments are received and paid in a timely manner
• Cashflow management
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Negotiate payment terms and approve those terms for vendors
• Perform month-end close
• Create internal controls
