Job Description :
- Provides patient care; Obtains vital signs, performs diagnostic testing, performs phlebotomy, performs EKGs, and collects patient data
- Reinforces basic patient / family teaching
- Transports patients / equipment
- Operates and cleans equipment
- Collects specimens
- Completes documentation in real time
- Acts as preceptor under guidance of RN, for new nursing assistants
- Assists with the organization of patient rooms
- Stocks linens and other supplies
- Performs refrigerator checks
- Additional duties and assigned and delegated by team leader and RNs
- Responsible for patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse
Qualifications :
- Applicant is required to be listed on the state of Wisconsin Nursing Assistant Registry (WI TMU)
- Basic computer / keyboarding skills, excellent verbal / written communication skills, team player, ability to multi-task, organized, independent and sensitive to patient needs required.
