About the Team :

Data Ventures exists to unlock the full value of Walmart’s data by developing and productizing B2B data initiatives that empower merchants and suppliers to make better, faster decisions for the business.

As part of this transformation, we are seeking entrepreneurial individuals to help drive data productization from concept to deployment.

MUST HAVE : JavaScript, Typescript, AngularJS, HTML, and CSS / SASS, Observables, RxJS, UI / UX designs, Cloud (GCP or Azure), SQL, Mongo DB, CI / CD, C#, and Java.

As a Software Engineer III Front End , you are responsible for translating requirements into technical solutions with the focus of creating the best user experience for our customers.

You will be part of a small project team consisting of other engineers who will work together to deliver value and ensure code quality.

Communication is also key as you will need to work closely with product owners, designers, and other engineers.

What You'll Do :

• Design and develop user-facing features with maintainability, reusability, and scalability in mind.
• Collaborate with project team and cross-functional teams. Troubleshoot open issues and bug-fixes, ensuring on-time delivery and hand-offs.

Interact with project manager to provide input on project plan. Ensure code quality with code reviews and best practices.

Provide support to the business by responding to user questions, concerns, and issues; researching and identifying needed solutions;

determining implementation designs; and providing guidance regarding implications of new and enhanced systems.

Troubleshoot business and production issues by gathering information; performing root cause analysis to reduce future issues;

engaging support teams to assist in the resolution of issues; and completing online documentation.

• Participate in the discovery phase of small to medium-sized projects to produce high-level design by partnering with product management, project management, business, and user experience teams.
• Demonstrate up-to-date expertise and apply this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans.
• Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders;

identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices.

Model compliance with company policies and procedures and support company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.

What You’ll Bring :

• High-level proficiency in using the following technologies to build modern web experiences : JavaScript, Typescript, AngularJS, HTML, and CSS / SASS.
• Experience with Observables and RxJS.
• General understanding of software development lifecycle from planning to deployment.
• Experience consuming, building, and deploying APIs and applications.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI / UX designs and knowledge of Accessibility design principles.
• Knowledge of Cloud (GCP or Azure), SQL, Mongo DB, and CI / CD.
• Knowledge of backend technologies like C# and Java.
• A disciplined approach to development, code review, testing, documentation, and code structure in a team environment.
• A constant desire to improve, learn more, and take things to the next level.
• Ability to lead our technical relationship with partners and mentor a team of developers.

Nice to Have :

• Experience with Figma.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1 : Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 2 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

Option 2 : 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
