Senior Software Engineer

Be the main point of contact to review systems during delivery and or audit, including working closely with other development teams as well as service delivery teams to review and analyze the system to ensure high performance and / or recover from failures.

Telecommuting role to be performed anywhere in the U.S.

What You Will Do :

• Develop tests, troubleshooting and monitoring tools for fast detection of issues that were found in the field, including performance, failure and product limitation issues which are detected during system deployments and during normal system run.
• Correct software and / or configuration file of live and lab system to restore failing system and / or improve the product performance.
• Work closely with service deliver and customer support teams to resolve performance or failure issues and be the main point of contact to consult with before taking any correction / modification action in the product.
• Involved in Monitoring system when issue and failure are reported via examining existing product specific tool or via developing specific Python or Bash Scripts to extract the needed information.
• Participate regularly in Enablement sessions to train internal team in the new product feature, new product capability, product installation and upgrade.
• Responsible to review the design as part New Product Introduction (NPI) activity of new product releases and approve design or recommend new modification while providing the needed feedback to the development team.

What You Will Bring

• Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Telecommunication Engineering, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related role.
• Must have three (3) years of experience with Linux;
• Must have three (3) years of experience with Kubernetes;
• Must have three (3) years of experience with Python programming;
• Must have three (3) years of experience with IT networking;
• Must have three (3) years of experience with OpenStack;
• Must have three (3) years of experience with MySQL;
• Must have three (3) years of experience with troubleshooting;
• Must have three (3) years of experience with ceph storage.

LI-DNI

The salary range for this position is $111,260 - $183,580. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Pay Transparency

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity.

Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and / or equity.

For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
