Job Details :
- Reporting to the Nuclear Medicine Supervisor incumbent isresponsible for the performance of the full range of in vivo and invitro Nuclear Medicine procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticalsand related chemical substances.
- Responsiblefor the provision of quality patient care including the timelythroughput of patients and the performance of theirexams.
- Operates and performs quality controlof stationary and portable scintillation equipment including gammacameras GeigerMueller counters well counters dose calibrationdevices and ancillary equipment.
- Performs PETNuc Med and CT diagnostic studies on PET / CT scanner includinginjection of CT Contrast Media image acquisition andreformatting.
- The incumbent is responsible forperforming necessary scans and procedures to aid in scannerqualification for research trials.
Qualifications :
- Knowledge of State regulatory radiation safety practicesand the principles of ALARA
- Graduate of anaccredited Nuclear Medicine program
- Minimumoneyear fulltime experience working as a CNMT
- Must possess the skill knowledge and ability essential tothe successful performance of assigned duties
- Current BLS certification
- Currentand active State of California CNMT License
- Current and active NMTCB and / or AART (N) licensure forNuclear Medicine
PreferredQualifications :
- Minimum1year full time experience performing Nuclear Medicineprocedures.
- Knowledge of University andmedical center organizations policies procedures andforms
CERTIFICATIONS :
- Current BLS certification
- Currentand active State of California CNMT License
- Current and active NMTCB and / or AART (N) licensure forNuclear Medicine
