About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN) - Endoscopy Job Specialty : Advanced Endoscopy Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Days, 5x8 Hour Shifts Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : 1 year of experience required License : Current RN License or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC) Certifications : - Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association - ACLS (American Heart Association) Must-Have : - Proficiency with Epic Job Description : - Provide nursing care to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex.
Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients. - Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments;
note all changes in physician orders for assigned patients. - Assist physicians in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments.
- Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients, observing their physiological manifestations and intervening when necessary.
- Administer medication as prescribed and initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products. - Deliver patient care competently and effectively.
- Interact with patients and their families to share care plans during hospital stays and at discharge. - Inform patients and their families of hospital procedures.
- Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel. - Delegate tasks to support staff. - Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience : - Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures. - Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques.
- Maintain good working relationships with other employees. - Good verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to respond effectively to the cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.
- Basic computer skills. Required Education : - Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Preferred Education : - Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing Board Approved Program Languages : - English (Speak, Read, Write)
