Overview : We are seeking an experienced Senior Functional Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer with over 7 years of experience as a QA.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software testing methodologies and tools, coupled with a proven track record of ensuring the quality and functionality of software solutions.
Responsibilities :
- Lead the development and execution of functional testing strategies for portfolio project management software in the aerospace and defense sector.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand requirements, define test objectives, and develop comprehensive test plans.
- Design and create detailed test cases and test scenarios to validate software functionality, usability, and performance.
- Conduct manual and automated testing of software applications, including regression testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Utilize industry-standard QA tools and frameworks to manage test cases, track defects, and report testing progress.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, project managers, and quality assurance analysts to identify and resolve software defects.
- Provide timely and accurate reports on testing results, including defect metrics, test coverage, and risk assessments.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and provide guidance on testing best practices, methodologies, and tools.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in functional quality assurance testing, with a focus on portfolio project management software in the aerospace and defense industry.
- Understanding in test automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or Playwright.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, including black-box testing, white-box testing, and exploratory testing.
- Familiarity with project management principles and methodologies, preferably in the aerospace and defense sector.
- Knowledge of aerospace and defense industry standards and regulations.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI / CD) practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- FedRamp experience beneficial.
