Design Drafter - Building Systems. Tommy's is looking for a Design Drafter to provide metal building system detailing and shop drawings.

Position Responsibilities
- Develop shop drawings and assembly detailing for building material systems using Revit & AutoCAD. (Tommy's building design / materials training will be provided)
- Prepare material schedules and bills of materials to other departments for procurement and manufacturing direction.
- Coordinate designs with architectural and structural drawings.
- Study building product specifications, determine optimal product for application and properly apply to the design.
- Communicate verbally and in writing with internal departments.
- Work within a team environment of management, sales, and manufacturing.
- Provide fair, friendly, and consistent customer service.

Position Qualifications & Candidate Attributes
Technical degree or equivalent formal training / certifications and experience1+ year experience using Revit and AutoCAD on architectural projectsExperience with commercial metal buildings is a plusTechnical savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office; experience within database systems is a plusExcellent written and oral communication skillsProcess-oriented and strong collaborator with ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and across various departmentsStrong organizational and time management skills; ability to multitask and prioritize workloadHighly adaptable with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills; ability to exercise good judgment and make sound data-backed decisionsHigh level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientationViews customer care as high priority; exhibits a positive can-do attitudeDisplays a strong initiative and drive to identify gaps and fill themWork Environment and Physical Demands
This job operates in a professional office environment. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8 : 00am - 5 : 00pm. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and operates primarily indoors with limited to no travel expectation.
