Job Description :
We are seeking a compassionate and qualified Special Education Teacher to join our school in Englewood, CO, for the 2024-2025 school year.
This position will involve working with students with diverse learning needs, providing individualized instruction, and ensuring each student has the tools to succeed in an inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Modify curriculum and instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in a small group or one-on-one setting
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching methods as needed
- Communicate regularly with parents / guardians and school staff regarding student progress and goals
- Foster a positive, supportive, and safe learning environment for all students
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field (required)
- Valid Colorado teaching certification with Special Education endorsement (required)
- Experience working with students with disabilities (preferred)
- Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
