LOCATION : LOS ANGELES CA

SALARY : $325000 to $345000

We are seeking a midlevel associate to join our sophisticated Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice. Based on years of experience Dentons associates may have a title of Associate Managing Associate or Senior Managing Associate.

Candidates should have at least 5 years of complex litigation experience proven analytic ability and excellent academic credentials.

Our associates work collaboratively with our partners and clients and are key members of our team. Expected responsibilities will include but are not limited to :

• Working on all aspects of commercial litigation from inception through trials and appeals
• Drafting complex case evaluations and preparing briefs pleadings motions and other documents for court cases and arbitrations
• Managing complex disputes including overseeing discovery (documents written discovery depositions)
• Taking and defending depositions and related work with fact witnesses and experts
• Working with clients witnesses experts and other counsel
• Conducting legal research and writing memoranda

Technical skills

• At least 5 years of complex litigation experience
• Strong writing and case management skills direct experience handling clients and adversaries and excellent oral advocacy skills
• Savvy with ediscovery data / document management applications and related technologies
• Previous law firm experience
• Federal District Court or Appellate clerkship is a plus
• Class action litigation experience is a plus
• Deposition and court experience is preferred

Other requirements

• Must be licensed to practice law in the State of California and be in good standing
• Must include a law school transcript and writing sample with application
