This position requires collaborating with physicians, other medical providers, and patients by providing nurse case management services for fertility treatments.

We have an immediate opening for a full time Andrology / Endocrine Laboratory Technician to join our team in our Colorado Springs location.

The schedule will be Monday - Friday from 8 : 00AM -4 : 00PM. Will rotate weekends with other lab staff. Approximately 1 weekend each month.

1 to 2 days per weekend rotation.

Pay $24-$26 per hour

How You'll Contribute :

We always do whatever it takes, even if it isn’t specifically our job. In general, the Andrology / Endocrine Laboratory Technician is responsible for :

• Shipping, receiving and disposition of frozen samples
• Ordering and receiving lab supplies
• Examine and process specimens for routine semen analysis
• Perform counts for concentration and motility, perform histological techniques for identifying leucocytes, immature germ cells and morphology
• Process semen for ART procedures and intrauterine inseminations (IUIs)
• Perform semen cryopreservation
• Assure proper sample collection, delivery and identification (chain of custody)
• Perform daily / monthly quality control procedures for media and equipment used in the Andrology / Endocrine laboratory
• Assist laboratory personnel in performing lab services in accordance with Federal, State, and local laws and guidelines to ensure laboratory maintains accreditation
• Checks and records daily temperature of refrigerators to ensure proper storage of media reagents.
• Performs quality controls, calibration and instrument preventive maintenance checks at the required frequency and documents such actions.
• Monitors supply of reagents and other material to ensure adequate supply at all times and orders supplies when necessary.

What You'll Bring :

B.S. in Biology or other relevant science and / or MLT ASCP

• Minimum of one year laboratory experience
• Experience with a chemistry analyzer strongly preferred
• Tissue culture experience (sterile technique) and / or semen processing a plus
