ROLE SUMMARY
The Senior Manager of Programs, Rethink Services (RTS), will provide operational support to the Rethink Services team. This will be achieved by managing a portfolio of engagements through our contract work with funders such as NYC Health + Hospitals (H+H) and Department of Housing Services (DHS), contract sites such as Humanitarian Emergency Response and Relief Centers (HERRC), Respite Center, New York Disaster Interfaith Services (NYDIS), and DHS sites and meal providers within the Rethink network.
This candidate will work closely with site management teams and other vendors to deliver high-quality and culturally responsive meal programs to a growing portfolio of shelters that cater to migrant populations.
Our model is uniquely positioned to allow rapid and highly targeted responses to the continuously changing needs of the diverse populations we serve.
The Senior Manager of Programs (RTS) will also engage closely with other teams across the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Program Management
- Evaluate meal service programs across sites and collaborate with RTS team members to achieve program objectives and implement necessary improvements.
- Lead the program’s data documentation efforts by creating new and revising existing dashboards and reports
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding program operational updates and relevant metrics.
- Coordinate logistics for meal delivery and service across different contract sites.
- Support the RTS team with the education and onboarding process for future contracts and meal-making sites to ensure support and clarity at all execution levels.
- Compliance & Data Management
- Regularly enhance internal spreadsheets and dashboards to meet evolving the team’s data needs; monitor for formula and bug fixes.
- Maintain external-facing app and troubleshoot when necessary.
- Collaborate with the Finance team to help resolve invoice discrepancies based on daily operations and ensure timely completion.
- Coverage
- Participate in the RTS weekly on-call coverage rotation schedule (expected to support on some nights and weekends via a rotating schedule with team members).
- Provide coverage support when other team members are on PTO.
- Maintain accurate records of on-call activities, issue resolutions, and coordinate logistics.
- Relationship Management
- Manage communication with partners about current data systems and lead efforts in enhancing internal and external data systems.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with restaurant partners, on-site staff, and other stakeholders.
- Work closely with partner networks to ensure on-site staff safely and effectively receive, store, serve, and recover all meals provided to the site.
- Communicate regularly with on-site managers and Food Safety Coordinators, managing any concerns arising at sites within your portfolio.
- Participate in weekly meetings with city agencies to review current operations and identify potential areas of programmatic improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, public policy, public administration, nonprofit management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5+ years experience working in the nonprofit sector and strong program management and / or financial and data management experience.
- High systems aptitude and comfort with learning new technologies; experience in Google Suite and strong Excel skills required;
SQL, BigQuery, and / or Tableau experience preferred.
- Interacts confidently and respectfully with people at all levels inside and outside the organization.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to articulate clear, persuasive, and concise thoughts.
- Flexible and adaptive to effectively manage changing priorities and new opportunities.
- Takes a solutions-based, collaborative approach to drive change in work and navigate challenges.
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Quick learner and self-starter, eager to strengthen their understanding of Rethink’s work and join a dynamic, fast-paced team.
- Willing and able to travel within the New York metropolitan area for field visits.

COMPENSATION
The annual salary range for this position is $75k - $90k, depending on experience and education. We also offer a complete benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k, PTO, paid holidays, two weeks per year for an organization-wide office closure to recharge, a retirement plan, a progressive parental leave plan, and daily free lunch prepared by our team of culinary professionals.
