Summary :

Consolidated Electrical Distributors, Inc. (CED), a large nationwide wholesale electrical products distribution company, is seeking a Director of Supplier Relations to provide additional support to the VP of Supplier Relations and its Supplier Relations Department.

The Supplier Relations Department interacts with CED's Key Suppliers to strengthen overall relationships and negotiate annual programs that include freight prepaid and return authorization terms, annual rebates, business development funds, and specific supplier master agreements.

This person will interface with our Region, District / Division, and Profit Center Managers to support their requests within our Key Supplier group.

They will also be involved in organizing multiple Supplier business meetings and business dinners during the Regional and National NAED Conferences.

Reports to : Vice President of Supplier Relations

Minimum Qualifications :

• Bachelor's Degree
• Five years experience in the electrical distribution industry
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written language skills in English
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications :

• Ten years experience in the electrical distribution industry
• Management experience in electrical distribution as a supplier or distributor
• Previous involvement in electrical distribution functions and / or NAED meetings

Working Conditions :

This position operates primarily in person in a professional office environment which may require sitting for extended periods.

Travel will be required, both by air and by car.

Essential Job Functions :

• Develop and enhance relationships with all 150+ key suppliers for CED
• Interface with entire CED organization to support any significant supplier issues they may have
• Communicate supplier opportunities within the CED field organization
• Schedule in-person meetings with key suppliers onsite at both CED and vendors' sites
• Maintain open lines of communication with all key suppliers via phone and in person
• Maintain all supplier programs of 150+ suppliers
• Reconcile supplier rebates (merchandise credits) on a quarterly and / or annual basis
• Develop purchase analysis reports for key suppliers to monitor performance with CED
• Support, supervise, and assist in the training of the Supplier Relations Administrative Assistant
• Provide occasional support to Director of National Accounts
