Senior Buyer
A leading global supplier of hardware and related components in aerospace is looking for a Senior Buyer with experience in Aerospace.
In this role, you are responsible for sourcing, negotiating Long Term Agreements, and processing RFQs and purchase orders.
This role oversees other buyers and handles complex commodities, ensuring best pricing and delivery through strategic supplier relationships.

Salary : $35.00 - 42.00 / hr (DOE)
This is a full time, temp-to-hire position
Schedule : In-office, Mon-Fri
Key Responsibilities :
- Source and purchase quality products and materials.
- Negotiate and manage Long Term Agreements with suppliers.
- Oversee and approve work of other buyers.
- Develop and monitor systems metrics and purchase orders.
- Implement and manage new supplier agreements.
- Conduct in-depth negotiations on pricing, delivery, and lead times.
- Expedite MRP (Material Requisition Planning) processes daily.
- Manage inventory and prevent obsolescence.
- Resolve invoicing and receiving discrepancies.
- Liaise between suppliers and internal departments.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts and departmental meetings.
Qualifications :
- Education / Experience : High school diploma or equivalent; minimum 5 years in senior procurement or purchasing, with 5 years in aerospace fastener buying and 3 years in proposal development.
- Knowledge : Market trends, advanced Excel and MS Office, ERP systems, supply chain management, and aerospace industry.
- Skills : Expert negotiation, communication, leadership, presentation, and organization skills; strong understanding of MRP, forecasting, and inventory control.
