American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with at least 2 years of neuro, ortho, robotics, and liver transplant experience for a hospital assignment requiring cardiac monitoring skills.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Hospital-based Operating Room positionPatient population includes neuro, orthopedic, robotics, and liver transplant surgical cases1 : 1 patient ratio in the ORShifts are 5x8 hour days (7 : 00-15 : 30) with option for 3x12 hour shiftsOn-call required one night per week (7p-7a) and for holidays (11a-11p or 11p-11a), with at least one Friday call shift requiredFloating required to other specialties and sister facilities within 75 miles as needs ariseCharting is done using Epic EMRPerforms scrubbing and circulating nurse duties for a range of complex surgical proceduresMust be able to cover required call shifts, with specific holiday call expectationsMaximum of 5 days of requested time off (RTO) allowed during the assignment; no holiday RTO permittedMust complete required orientation and compliance modules, averaging 2-8 hours depending on specialtyFirst time travelers will be consideredNo block scheduling requests will be accommodatedNot open to local candidates residing within 75 miles of the facilityCandidates must provide 2 supervisory references for consideration\n \n Requirements\n
Active OK or compact RN license required at time of applicationCurrent and valid Driver's License or State issued ID and a utility bill in the traveler's name with matching address (dated within the last three months) showing residence over 75 miles from the facilityMinimum of 2 years recent OR nursing experience, including neuro, ortho, robotics, and liver transplant casesCertifications required : BLS, ACLS, PALS; NRP preferredMust successfully complete EKG / Dysrhythmia competency testing during compliance processWillingness and ability to float to other units or facilities as neededNot eligible if previous permanent staff at the facility within the last year\n Benefits\n
