Description
This position is on the Finance MSP - ESRD team in the Medicare Risk Adjustment department which is charged with the responsibility of ensuring the accuracy of member COB information for CMS payments.
This position will be heavy in telephone and portal look up use as well as data entry.
- This position will require the use of Microsoft Access forms as well as Microsoft Excel.
- The successful candidate may have experience with outbound telephone calls and some experience working within Microsoft Access forms as well as other data entry systems.
- The ideal candidate will also have both financial reporting and reconciliation responsibilities.
- The ideal candidate will also have some COB knowledge.
Position Summary :
Assist with the consolidation of monthly financial results, load budget data, coordinate completion of unit commentary, perform key tasks related to Accounting systems, assist in their preparation of financial reports and financial analysis, senior management requests, numerous other responsibilities with the Accounting system and consolidation process.
Duties :
- Performs, under direct supervision, general data gathering and analysis while compiling information for data entry and record submission to CMS.
- Follows established schedules, CMS calendars, reporting and compliance requirements.
- Properly documents work.
- Heavy portal analysis and telephone use.
- Makes decisions with guidance.
- Maintains assigned financial reports and data tracking. Gathers and documents COB data for risk payment adjustments and proper claims payment.
- Some reporting and financial reconciliation could be required.
Experience :
- Healthcare background is highly sought.
- 0-3 years of experience in COB (Coordination of Benefits) or MSP (Medicare Secondary Payor) or Enrollment or Claims processing or Customer Service.
- Intermediate user skills in Microsoft Office Suite are required.
- Analytical skills and attention to detail, interpersonal and communication skills required.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Some financial reporting and data analytics are a plus.
