DESCRIPTION

Designs, improves, and installs integrated manufacturing or administrative systems which use people, materials, information, equipment, and energy.

Key Responsibilities :

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways :

Work Studies : By leading work studies for new and current production lines, youll be able to identify areas of improvement, increase efficiency, and reduce waste.

Standard Work Methods : Leading the development and implementation of standard work methods ensures consistency, quality, and productivity across all production lines.

Project Leadership : Your leadership in specific projects to create and implement all aspects of manufacturing processes will ensure that safety requirements, manufacturing goals, business goals, and product specifications are met.

Manufacturing Principles and Practices : Applying your knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices to improve manufacturing equipment and processes will lead to increased productivity and cost savings.

Standards Development : By maintaining the application of Cummins standards and developing new manufacturing standards, youll ensure that all products meet the highest quality benchmarks.

Communication and Influence : Leading communications with and influencing key external stakeholders, business leaders, and functional members will ensure alignment of goals and smooth execution of projects.

Resource Coordination : Working with internal and external resources on specific project assignments will ensure that all necessary resources are utilized effectively and efficiently.

Relationship Management : Maintaining relationships and coaching key stakeholders will foster a positive work environment, encourage knowledge sharing, and lead to continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following :

Communicates effectively - Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.

Ergonomic Fundamentals - Understands ergonomic concepts by applying Cummins ergonomic standards, guidelines, controls and tools to reduce ergonomic risk to employees while at work.

Health and Safety Fundamentals - Champions and models proactive health and safety behaviors by identifying, reporting and participating in actions to improve health and safety in order to build an interdependent culture and contribute to an injury-free workplace.

Line Balancing - Evaluates work activities performed by individuals or machines to identify opportunities to optimize operating time and distributing of the work content to meet the changes in customer demands while continuing to optimize manufacturing processes.

Manufacturing Analysis Led Design - Uses digital tools to model and simulate manufacturing processes, equipment and performance to make data driven decisions before changes are made and to drive continuous improvements.

Manufacturing Knowledge - Demonstrates the knowledge of manufacturing by correctly implementing changes in current processes, equipment, and applications to meet the function's needs and contribute towards continuous improvement.

Process Layout - Creates and / or modifies an optimized manufacturing process by incorporating knowledge of equipment, human interfaces, sequences of production steps, and facilities requirements in order to reduce process time and waste.

Work Measurement - Quantifies and evaluates the elements of work that make up a process by breaking it down into detailed steps to identify and reduce waste, and redistribute work content to optimize process flows.

Values differences - Recognizing the value that different perspectives and cultures bring to an organization.

Collaborates - Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.

Continuous Process Improvement - Recognizes areas in which a process can be improved by properly implementing process improvement and waste reduction methodologies to reduce process cost and improve quality in current manufacturing processes.

Drawing Interpretation - Integrates product design and manufacturing equipment engineering drawings to support the design and development of an optimal manufacturing process that meets product design specifications.

Industrial Engineering Knowledge - Integrates the pillars of industrial engineering techniques by applying a comprehensive and quantitative analysis to available data to be used as decision factors for the development or improvement of manufacturing processes to contribute to the most efficient process.

Education, Licenses, Certifications :

College, university, or degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or related field, or equivalent experience required.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience :

Intermediate level relevant work experience required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Additional Responsibilities :

This role will be heavily focused on industrial engineering support for line balancing post transformation changes at RMEP.

The individual will need to help manage change and ensure that all industrial engineering tasks are complete for each project.

Min Salary $96000

Max Salary $144000
