We are seeking an experienced Hydraulic Engineer - Civil Engineer to join our team. This position is 40 hours per week in our Minden, NV or Reno, NV offices. This position will work on-site. Relocation assistance is available.

Responsibilities
- Prepares hydrologic and hydraulic models using HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, & Flo-2D.
- Prepares hydrologic and hydraulic studies and FEMA permitting; prior floodplain modeling work experience in Douglas County is preferable.
- Researches jurisdictional drainage requirements for appropriate incorporation into design and construction drawings.
- Oversees production of drainage design and construction drawings using AutoCAD & MicroStation.
- Performs data management and prepares exhibits using ArcGIS and QGIS (desirable).
- Works as a member of a multi-discipline team.
- Mentors EIT staff regarding hydrologic and hydraulic theory and practice.
- Conducts site visits and documents findings.
- Writes and coordinates preparation of graphic materials for presentations and documents.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in EngineeringMinimum 5 years of drainage experienceProfessional Engineer (PE) license preferredProficient with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, & Flo-2DProficiency with ArcGIS and QGIS; GISP certification desirableProficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPointStrong organizational and communication skillsWorks well in a team environmentStrong attention to detailStrong knowledge of construction means, methods and techniquesAbility to prepare civil engineering documents and specifications for projectsBenefits
