The Media Specialist II is responsible for content ingesting and file distribution to internal and external clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Fulfill ingest and distribution requests from outside clients as assigned
  • Delegates work orders to level 1 Media Specialists as necessary
  • Facilitate requests from Competition and Research & Development departments
  • Maintain a working knowledge of current and legacy video formats
  • Evaluate work flow efficiency for ingest and delivery workflows; make recommendations for improvements when appropriate
  • Monitor live video streaming; troubleshoot or elevate issues as needed
  • Maintain the Production Network (SAN) by archiving material in a timely manner
  • Update Sharepoint as content is available for edit

Qualifications

Education and / or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent from four (4) year college or university and three (3) years' experience in Information Technology or similar computer support;

or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills

Proficient on Company-provided hardware and software. Experience with file management in Amazon Web Services, primarily S3 object storage.

Proficient in non-linear editing programs, primarily Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop, and After Effects. Knowledge of core MacOS functionality required, including use of applications such as Finder, Automator, Terminal and TextEdit.
