As a Phlebotomist and CareAssistant (CNA) you will deliver essential health care services toresidents combining duties as both a CNA and phlebotomist.

Phlebotomist and CareAssistant CNA Position Summary :
- Patient Care : Perform routine nursing care maintain a safe environment and assistwith activities of dailyliving.
- Phlebotomy : Conduct blood draws for laboratory testing ensure properidentification and labeling of samples and follow safetyprotocols.
- ResidentTransport : Coordinate accompany and assist withResidents transportation to and from appointments ensuring safetyand adherence to schedules (no drivingrequired).
- Documentation : Accurately document blood draws patient interactions and anyincidents. Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAAregulations.
- EquipmentMaintenance : Clean and maintain phlebotomy equipmentreport malfunctions and store equipmentproperly.
- Safety andCompliance : Adhere to infection control proceduresuse PPE and report any communicablediseases.
- Additional duties asassigned.
Requirements :
- Education : High School Diploma or equivalent;CNA certification in New York; Phlebotomy certification (ASCP NPAor similar).
- Experience : Minimum 1 year as aCNA in a skilled nursing facility; phlebotomy experiencepreferred.
- Skills : Excellent interpersonalcommunication and organizational skills; attention to detail;ability to handle stressful situations;
patience and compassion forworking with elderly and disabledindividuals.
- Ability to lift at least 50 poundsstand for extended periods and perform tasks requiring manualdexterity.
- Capable of handling emotional andphysical stress working with hostile or upset residents andexposure to infectious conditions.
- Attend andparticipate in training and educationalprograms.
- Assist with resident dining groomingand ambulation.
- Maintain cleanliness and safetystandards.
- Participate in resident care planmeetings and document activitiesaccurately.
