What does a Process Engineer do?

Implement Continuous Improvement of manufacturing operations with the objective of increasing value and meeting customer requirements with reduced costs and variation.

Your innovative approach and technical skills will be pivotal in driving continuous improvement and contributing to our company's success.

What specifically will you be doing?

  • Collaborate with operations management to make process improvements for the facility.
  • Participate in the improvement of NCMs, CARs, rework and OTD. Identify common causes and implement preventive actions.
  • Optimize process parameters to reduce cycle time, material usage and process variation.
  • Identify opportunities for standardization; create standards / graphical instructions and train team members on new standards.

Create and maintain the process instruction and documentation.

Provide production support including equipment, process, and material troubleshooting. Also, any operator training support is necessary.

What we are looking for :

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in process engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Work Environment

The work environment is typical of most shop environments, not climate controlled and subject to outdoor weather conditions.

Team members are exposed to sounds and noise levels that are distracting.

  • Frequent exposure to fumes / dust particles ; may require use of respirators or other types of PPE.
  • May encounter toxic or caustic chemicals.
  • Employee must frequently lift and / or move up to 50 pounds.
