Staff Accountant
Overview :
The Central Jersey Medical Center is a Federally Qualified Health Center located in Perth Amboy, Newark and Carteret, NJ.

Responsibilities :
Reconcile bank statements and manage cash teller operations.
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, reconcile accounts, and ensure timely month-end and year-end closing.
Prepare budgets, financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Generate financial reports for management, providing analytical insights and recommendations for financial planning and decision-making.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, recurring invoice set ups and liaison with clients AP departments monthly to ensure timely payments.
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts for various departments.
Monitor budget performance, provide variance analysis, and recommendations for cost control.
Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Provide effective financial growth recommendations to support strategic planning and decision-making.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and filings.
Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and information.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role.
Proficiency in financial management, accounting & billing software Microsoft Suite, FundEZ and ERP systems.
Proficiency ADP payroll systems.
Knowledge of Non-Profit Accounting Preferred
