QUALIFICATIONS : - Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from an accredited program required. - Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in Massachusetts required.
- Minimum of three years of experience in pediatric care required, preferably with NICU populations. - Experience conducting developmental assessments, particularly Bayley 4.
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills. SKILLS / ABILITIES / COMPETENCIES REQUIRED : - Proficiency in conducting developmental assessments, including Bayley 4.
- Experience with NICU populations and early developmental care. - Strong teamwork and communication skills, particularly within a multidisciplinary setting.
- Physical ability to perform prolonged walking, standing, and patient handling tasks. - Competency in assessing and treating pediatric patients, especially neonates and infants.
WORKING CONDITIONS : - Full-time position at the Center for Child Development, 221 Longwood Avenue. - Work is performed ina clinical environment with some exposure to body fluids, and communicable diseases.
Physical effort required for lifting, transferring, and positioning patients and equipment. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY : - Assists with supervision and education of staff therapists, assistants, and aides.
FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY : - Ensures accurate and timely entry of patient charges supported by medical documentation. - Manages hospital and department equipment in a cost-efficient manner.
HOSPITAL-WIDE RESPONSIBILITIES : - Complies with all legal, regulatory, accreditation, and ethical practice standards relevant to the position.
PEDIATRIC PHYSICAL THERAPIST / AMBULATORY CARE / CENTER FOR CHILD DEVELOPMENT / BWH BOSTON MA TEMPORARY / Benefits Eligible! GENERAL SUMMARY / OVERVIEW STATEMENT : - The Senior Physical Therapist is a licensed professional with at least three (3) years of pediatric experience, preferably in neonatal / early developmental care.
- The primary responsibility is to provide patient care to neonates and newborns up to three (3) years of age at the Center for Child Development, located at 221 Longwood Avenue.
- This role involves conducting comprehensive developmental assessments, including Bayley 4, within a multidisciplinary team setting.
- The therapist will work on-site, full-time, five days a week, focusing on high-risk NICU patient populations and ensuring coordinated care within the clinic.
Note : Would consider a part-time role if the candidate's experience and expertise match the clinical needs. This position is Temporary with an expected duration of 6 months with hospital option toextend or shorten based on clinical or other needs.
