Purpose

The Senior Academic Program Coordinator provides student and faculty-facing support in the professional Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.

D.) program for exams, core course and curricular implementation, assessment and innovation, and administrative and committee coordination.

Responsibilities

Student Assessment Management : The college measures critical milestone achievements required for the Pharm.D. program throughout the academic year.

This role trains new Pharm.D. students, instructors and teaching assistants on taking and administering assessments. Assists with editing and troubleshooting of exams and quizzes for instructors as needed.

Administers and proctors exams as needed. Facilitates exam reviews and coordinates the scheduling, administration and proctoring for make-up and accommodated exams.

Creates and publishes results for students. Manages and oversees the logistics of Objective Structured Clinical Exams (OSCEs).

Leads the student ExamSoft Advisory Committee, working with students to implement best practices. Attends and presents at the annual ExamSoft Assessment Conference on behalf of the college.

Core Sequence Course Support : The Pharm.D. core sequence courses-Pharmacy Practice labs and Pharmacotherapy courses-are team-taught among multiple faculty instructors.

This role manages the lecture and exam schedule in coordination with faculty instructors; drafts and finalizes syllabi while preparing Canvas course sites;

and follows up with faculty assigned to specific lectures to ensure smooth lecture scheduling.

Curricular Innovations and Assessment : As an accredited professional degree program in pharmacy, the college is responsible for curriculum design, implementation and evaluation for the purposes of continuous improvement.

This role assists Academic Affairs leadership and other faculty with ensuring that students can complete the essential functions and meet expected levels of engagement for graduation and ultimately pharmacy practice.

Runs regular reports required to assess student learning, course rigor and performance over time. Facilitates other assessment-driven reports required for accreditation and other needs.

Participates in the design and implementation of new innovations both in learning and teaching.

Administrative Support : Provides professional administrative support to Academic Affairs faculty leadership and faculty committees, including scheduling, meeting records, writing / proofing, attending events and ensuring overall efficiency of the Academic Affairs portfolio.

Supports program committees, including Teaching Excellence, Academic Support, and Faculty Development and Well-Being.

Additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of experience in the coordination of an educational program

Demonstrated working experience in decision making and critical thinking, tactical and strategic planning, and relationship management

Demonstrated extensive experience in effective communication and problem solving

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree or at least 3 years of experience in the coordination of an educational program

Experience working with educational programs in higher education

Experience with learning and assessment management software

Experience with data analysis and / or analytic software

Salary Range

$60,000+ depending on qualifications
