Employment Law Associate Attorney
We are currently searching for an exceptional associate attorney with a background in labor and employment litigation to join our client's recognized law firm .
Candidates must have demonstrated experience independently managing a variety of employment cases from intake to resolution, including taking and defending depositions, drafting and arguing motions, discovery, trial preparation, other court proceedings and settlement negotiations.
The successful associate will be responsible for working directly with employer clients providing counsel and representation on discrimination / harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour violations, PAGA claims and related disputes.
This is the perfect opportunity for an ambitious attorney looking to grow into a partner role with a recognized, well-established law firm.
Qualifications and Skills :
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- California bar license, in good standing
- 2-5 years of experience in Labor & Employment litigation, including breach of contract, wrongful termination, harassment, wage and hour, and / or class action defense
- Experience drafting various legal documents, arguing motions, discovery and responses, taking / defending depositions and trial preparation
- Possess excellent writing, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Value a team environment while prepared to work independently and assume significant responsibilities
- Highly motivated, ambitious, with a desire for growth and responsibility
- First / Second chair trial experience is welcome, but not required
