We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Tax Analyst to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation and analysis of FDH tax returns, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, and support tax planning initiatives
Responsibilities :
Data preparation and coordination with external service providers for direct and indirect tax returns and month-end reporting activities;
coordinate with tax providers and accounting team for tax payments.
- Assist with tax planning initiatives and maintain schedules for deferred tax assets, intangible assets, tax payments, tax notices;
- Leverage technology to automate routine global tax processes and ensure compliance with regulatory changes worldwide.
- Support management in various tax-related global projects, such as mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, and other business initiatives.
- Continuously review and enhance global tax compliance and reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Review and reconcile month-end indirect tax accounts to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting; maintain filing calendar for tax.
- Review indirect tax filings across the US, UK, Germany, and France (VAT / GST, sales & use tax, etc.)
- Partner with cross-functional teams to provide strategic indirect tax advice for all business operations; Promote indirect tax awareness and knowledge, including training and liaising with business and tax providers.
- Support audits and inquiries regarding indirect tax, including working with local tax authorities and external advisors.
- Support ERP implementation relating to indirect taxes and identify and evaluate issues, efficiencies, and opportunities related to indirect taxes.
- Assist with other tax-related projects as needed, manage indirect tax questions that arise from customers or vendors,
- Take ownership of staying current on tax legislation and industry trends.
Basic Qualification :
- 3- 5 years of related experience
- Experience with a professional service organization
- Self-starter and team player with the ability to effectively communicate
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in global tax preparation software and advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to conduct tax research using tools
