Job Summary :
Administers all forms of respiratory care, both critical and general therapy, and directs and manages the respiratory and pulmonary care for a designated group of patients.
Provides respiratory assessment, support, treatment, and diagnostic tests as part of the healthcare team.
Certifications - Required :
RESP REG - Respiratory Therapist, Registered NBRC RRT
AHA BCLS - Basic Life Support
AHA PALS : Pediatric Advanced Life Support
AHA NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program
AHA ACLS - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certificate
Licensure - Required :
Respiratory Care Practitioner - PA state license
Education - Required :
Associate's Degree Graduate from an RRT program accredited by the commission of accreditation for Respiratory Care
Experience - Required :
1 year Experience as a registered respiratory therapist in either PICU or Level 4 NICU.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Required :
Ability to provide respiratory therapy methodologies and techniques.
Ability to operate and trouble-shoot diagnostic equipment.
Education - Preferred :
Bachelor's Degree Graduate from an RRT program accredited by the commission of accreditation for Respiratory Care
