About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse Job Specialty : Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 7 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM Guaranteed Hours : Experience : Minimum of 2 years License : RN License Certifications : ACLS / BLS required;
CCRN preferred Must-Have : Medical and Surgical ICU experience; AIBP experience Job Description : Work in an 8-bed ICU with a patient ratio of 2 : 1.
- Participate in unit staffing with the goal of maintaining 4 RNs 24 / 7.- Utilize equipment including GE B650 cardiac monitors and Gaymar cooling systems.
- Document using the Meditech system.- Engage in self-scheduling with the requirement of every other weekend shifts, offering flexible scheduling and possible overtime opportunities.
- Be prepared to float to critical care or intermediate care areas when needed.- Focus on enhancing patient experience through AIDET validation and emphasizing nurse communication.
- Perform procedures such as ventilator care, therapeutic hypothermia, PCI / STEMI, IABP, invasive hemodynamic monitoring, TEE / cardioversion, temporary pacemaker insertion, and manage conditions like sepsis, stroke / TPA, and DKA.
- Actively respond as part of the Code Blue and Rapid Response Team.- Maintain professional appearance in scrubs.- Benefit from working in a progressive community unit with engaged staff and leadership committed to promoting a healthy work environment.
