Weekly Pay Range - $2149 To $2387 Job Title : Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer Job Specialty : Radiology / Cardiology Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day 5x8-Hour (08 : 00 - 16 : 30) Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : 2+ years performing echocardiographic studies License : Valid permanent California license Certifications : Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RDS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), BLS Must-Have : COVID-19 Vaccine and Current Booster Job Description : Demonstrate clinical competency and technical skills as a Sonographer.
- Use appropriate techniques with ultrasound equipment to provide diagnostic studies based on physician requests.- Perform a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment for diagnosis.
- Demonstrate the capability to provide high-quality imaging.- Maintain knowledge of advanced imaging features to capture enhanced data.
- Acquire echocardiographic measurements according to protocol and create digital preliminary reports for the interpreting physician.
- Verbally communicate preliminary findings to the interpreting physician.- Review a physician's order to verify the appropriateness of the performed order.
- Act as a role model in providing care and assist in precepting Cardio Sonographers I.- Retrieve studies from PACS for review.
- Implement appropriate infection control processes.- Provide an environment of care that supports patient safety.- Address patient educational needs regarding requested studies.
- Prepare patients for the study.- Support IAC Standards and Guidelines.
