Restaurant General Manager
Location : Palm Beach, FL
Job Overview :
The Restaurant General Manager will be primarily responsible for directing and organizing the overall activities and services of the restaurant, including staff training, overseeing food quality, and ensuring that service standards align with the hotel's values and beliefs.
The candidate must have a flexible schedule, including day and night shifts, holidays, and weekends.
Essential Qualifications :
- Minimum of 18 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
- Minimum 4 years of management experience in a full-service restaurant environment.
- Food handling certificate.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English with guests, management, and co-workers.
- Ability to provide clear and legible communication.
- Prior experience in 4 / 5 diamond or 4 / 5 star restaurants.
- Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.
Essential Skills :
- Ability to understand guests' service needs.
- Ability to prioritize and organize service requirements.
- Ability to maintain concentration and think clearly when providing service to guests.
- Attention to detail in all aspects of service.
- Ability to suggestively sell restaurant menu items, beverages, and wines.
- Proficiency in accessing and inputting information into a P.O.S. system.
- Ability to direct timing and performance of Servers, Food Runners, Server Attendants, Hosts, Supervisors, and reporting Managers to ensure quality service within the restaurant.
- Physical stamina to perform job functions throughout the work areas.
- Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision.
- Ability to lead and work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of wine, beer, and liquor.
