Marketing Internship
INTERNSHIP GENERAL OVERVIEW Join our amazing team! We are seeking incredible interns who love the Southwest Florida social scene and want to learn the inner workings of a media company from a marketing / branding perspective! Our Marketing Intern will assist the marketing department to develop, establish, and maintain marketing strategies of our brands Gulfshore Life, Gulfshore Business, The Naples Press, Home, Mini, Social Register, Gordon Drive, Healthy Life, and Celebrate goals and objectives.
This internship pays $14 / hour. SUMMARY of RESPONSIBILITIES : Main Activities : Maximum of 15 hours / week Collateral, brochure and program distribution Make / maintain contact with local businesses, advertisers, etc.
Administrative support and data maintenance Assist onsite at events (check in, greeting guests, production, etc.) Assist with special digital projects Assist with sponsor / gift bag creation and organization Assist with maintaining marketing closet organization Create and maintain a calendar of community events (store openings, charities, conferences, fairs, festivals, premiers, etc.
to be submitted to Marketing Director Be a positive ambassador for Gulfshore Life Media at all times when in public. Maintain a high level of professionalism and personal presentation KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES : Knowledge : Strong awareness and presence in Southwest Florida social, restaurant, hospitality and charity scene Skills : Attention to detail Ability to network and build relationships Ability to create and maintain positive and professional relationships with the team Personal Attributes : Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Strong organizational skills Creativity and ability to think outside of the box with events, promotions, marketing materials, etc.
Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment Available to attend / work events on nights and weekends Ability to work well with other departments Honest and trustworthy Respectful Strong Personal Presentation (approachable, dresses appropriately, communicate well with other people, friendly, etc.
Possess cultural awareness and sensitivity Flexibility Demonstrate sound work ethics Southwest Florida is often praised as being one of the healthiest and happiest places in the world with miles of white-sand beaches and a dynamic community.
