Description : Soliant Education is seeking a passionate DHH Teacher to join our team in the Seaford, VA area. This part-time position offers 4 hours per week of on-site work, providing invaluable support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Ideal candidates will have a strong background in special education, particularly in working with students with hearing impairments, and possess relevant certifications.
Responsibilities :
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Collaborate with school staff and parents to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Implement effective teaching strategies and accommodations to meet the unique needs of students.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as necessary.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- Valid state teaching certification in DHH or ability to obtain one.
- Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
