We have an immediate opening for a Systems Engineer who will support the Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) in Huntsville, AL.
Salary for this position will depend on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Support development and refinement of Electronic Protection (EP) strategies to enhance radar resilience against electronic warfare threats, aligning strategies across STARE product lines.
- Evaluate algorithms that enable radar systems to detect and operate effectively in contested electromagnetic environments.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, including service, S&T, and industry partners, to ensure EP technologies align with current and future threat landscapes.
- Support technology transfer initiatives for radar systems, facilitating collaboration between the Radar Program Office, external research institutions, and defense contractors.
- Ensure smooth integration of external technologies into existing radar platforms, coordinating with external partners for system handoff and ongoing support.
- Stay up-to-date on advancements in radar technology and electronic protection to introduce innovative solutions to the program office.
- Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, including system design specifications, performance reports, EP testing results, and technology transfer records.
- Present technical findings and project status to leadership and key stakeholders, highlighting risks related to EP and technology adoption.
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in radar system development, with expertise in electronic protection (EP) techniques and system resilience against electronic warfare.
- Experience in managing technology transfer projects, working with external partners in defense or government sectors.
- Strong knowledge of radar system hardware, RF components, and software.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams and manage complex, multi-partner projects.
- TS clearance with ability to obtain SCI
Additional Desired Experience
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with technology transition programs in military or defense sectors.
- Experience with implementation of Anit-Tamper technologies for radar systems.
- Experience in Classified test planning for radar systems
- Experience with systems modeling, simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink), and radar signal processing.
