We are searching for an experienced Senior Construction Administrator (Manager) with a high-level understanding of constructability issues, specifically in public sector education projects.
As a Senior Construction Administrator (Manager) , you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the bidding, construction administration, and closeout phases of school projects.
Your role will involve proactive problem-solving, collaboration with design teams, client interaction, financial management, and mentoring junior staff.

What You'll Do
- Primary contact during the CA phase and facilitate timely communication and coordination between the owner, contractor, architect, and consultants.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of documentation and communications during bidding.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager in tracking the financial progress of assigned projects in construction and closeout phases.
- Assist clients in bid analysis, contract award, and selection of testing laboratory.
- Interpret plans and specifications to address Requests for Information (RFIs) and resolve conflicts.
- Oversees site observations, conducts punch list inspections, and ensures contractor compliance with contract documents.
- Coordinates final punch list scheduling, verifies closeout documents, and assists in project archiving steps.
- Train and mentor staff on construction administration procedures and standards.
Your Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience with construction projects in the public / education sector required; experience working with California's Division of the State Architect (DSA) strongly preferred.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize projects based on schedules and deadlines, and delegate appropriate tasks to other CA or project team members.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications required.
- Knowledge of the bidding, construction, government agency, and closeout processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to correspond with owners, contractors, consultants, and staff.
- Ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts in the field.
- Ability to use PDF software for digital review and approval and processing of construction documents such as RFIs, submittals, addenda, and change order requests.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD / Revit with the ability to view and navigate documents preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
The expected pay range for this role is $104,000-140,000 annual salary (must be willing to work in-office 50% of each week).
Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, business needs, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
