Hospice Nurse, RN

Weekend Option

Location : Clinton and Fayetteville, North Carolina

Hours : Every Saturday & Sunday 12hrs / day - work 24hrs per weekend, get PAID FOR 40 HOURS PER WEEK! (12hr shifts include travel time, visit time & documentation time)

SUMMARY

The Hospice Baylor Nurse, RN is responsible for the coordination of all Hospice services in counties assigned in accordance with the Hospice philosophy, Agency goals, objectives, and policies.

Primarily works weekends.

Registered Nurse (RN) Essential Job Functions :

1. Creates positive experiences for internal and external customers that will meet their expectations. Displays a high degree of courtesy, tact, and knowledge of services provided by the agency in all contact with staff, patients, and visitors.

2. Provides comfort to patient / family to facilitate quality of life and death with dignity.

3. Maintains current electronic documentation and downloads daily.

4. Ensures that the physician and / or Hospice Medical Director is involved ongoing with the patient's care.

5. Maintains regular communication with supervisor : (a) communicates problems of the patient(s) on a timely basis following chain of command, (b) communicates information using current process and technology available to 3HC , (c) coordinates hospice care with Director of Clinical Services / Assistant Clinical Director and the IDG team.

6. Ensures that 3HC can bill for services appropriately.

Requirements :

Licensed as a Registered Nurse, in good standing in North Carolina.

Prefer Home Health / Hospice Experience.

Minimum of one year experience in Acute Care Setting.

Current CPR.
