JOBSUMMARY
The team leader isresponsible for providing daily leadership, direction, and supportto packing associates, line feeders and stackers;
and maintaining asafe, organized, clean and efficient operation. Must be able toproactively identify and analyze problems and implement appropriatecorrective action to improve performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Workwith other line supervisors and management to ensure appropriatework priorities are assigned and issues are efficientlycommunicated and addressed.
- Assign crew membersto specific duties to maximize efficiency for adepartment.
- Ensure that the crew is workingsafely and efficiently as a team.
- Correctanyone who is not following preferred work methods and / or isworking in an unsafe manner, as well as ensure allhazard a nalysis and c ritical c ontrol p oint ( HACCP) and otherfood safety guidelines are followed at alltimes.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Highschool diploma or GEDequivalent.
Experience
2years (extensive) produce knowledge or relatedindustry.
ProfessionalSkills
- General understandingof processing procedures of a high volume warehouse / productionfacility.
- Demonstrated leadershipability.
- Ability to read, write and communicatefluently in English.
- Bi-lingual in Spanishpreferred.
PhysicalDemand
- Able to manually move25lbs. frequently and up to 50lbs.occasionally.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, pushand pull.
- Constant standing and walking forperiods over eighthours.
