The Hanwha Aerospace USA Quality Manager will be responsible for all activities associated with the Quality function reporting directly to the VP Quality.

Reports to : Director of Quality
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Ensure process and procedures defined in the Quality Management System (QMS) are understood, followed and updated as necessary to maintain Quality System Approvals
Lead / support internal and external audit activities (System, NADCAP, Customer, etc) as required to meet requirements and maintain approvals
Be cognizant of Export Control requirements and controls, taking necessary steps to ensure export compliance at all times
Drive robust RCCA process with real time daily stand up Quality reviews, Elephant chart non-conformance tracking and SPC data collection / actions
Support monthly MCAT (Material Corrective Action Team) process with on-time reporting of Quality KPI’s - driving YOY improvements in quality performance
Represent the organization as the Quality Interface to Customer Quality
Manage all aspects of the Quality Planning / NPI process in line with the Quality NPI tracker to ensure on-time and completeness of Quality NPI requirements
Contract Review (Customer PO, requirements, drawings specifications
Ballooned drawings & associated documents
Gaging reviews & special gaging requirements / purchase
Gage R&R Studies
KpC's understood, SPC Plan developed
Create IMS & FAI Template
Develop CMM Program using ballooned docs
Validate / correlate CMM Program to IMS
Secure special process approvals & NDT
Coordinate customer submittals & approvals (Ex : ESA, VSE, DVI, PPAP)
Manage Quality Inspection processes (Incoming, Material Certs / LCS, In-process bench and CMM inspections, final and first article inspections)
Coordination and submittal of first articles and their presentation to the customer.
Manage CMM programming process, process controls and correlation requirements
Manage gage calibration process and process controls
Quality electronic data scanning and retention
Support MRB Quality Clinic process, MRB actions / reductions and successful response to complaints
Manage DQR responsibilities / activities per customer requirements.
Staff, develop, train, motivate, discipline and review direct reports. Responsible for all documentation related to direct reports.
Utilizes team approach & involvement effectively.
Develop, utilize and update employee skill matrix to define necessary skills to adequately and safely perform the requirements of the job, to develop gaps and associated training development plans and to ensure department is adequately staffed to meet business needs
Monitor department and employee performance implement actions to achieve targeted performance objectives

Requirements :
Must be a US Person as defined by US Government and able to work without restriction with ITAR related data.
Bachelor Degree in Engineering or other related field preferred; High School Diploma or G.E.D required
5+ years of relevant Aerospace, Aero-Engine or complimentary experience
Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Access.
Working knowledge of inspection techniques, quality engineering practices.
Understanding of data collection and statistical process control (SPC) techniques.
Good communication skills, capability of communicating effectively with engineers, shop personnel, management staff, suppliers and customers.
